The preview cookie

The password gate is currently switched off, and this site does not currently set a preview-access cookie. If the gate is re-enabled, entering the correct password will set __Host-almajour_preview. It contains a signed access token, not the password or a member profile. It remembers that this browser may view the preview for up to 12 hours on that hostname. It is marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict.

Your choice

The cookie is needed only if you choose to enter the private preview. Clearing it in your browser signs you out; the next visit asks for the password again. Blocking cookies prevents the preview sign-in from working. Each address has its own access cookie.

No advertising or analytics cookies in this code

The preview site includes no advertising pixels or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may use security or challenge technology as needed to deliver and protect the site; its own handling is separate from the access cookie described here.

Technical connection data

Even without signing in, the hosting service receives technical request information, including your IP address and requested URL. This is distinct from cookies. See our Privacy Policy. Questions: bonjour@almajour.com. Updated 3 October 2026.
